EDIT:

alright, it's "list time".  first, here are some of my most memorable times from 2006...

* going to mexico again and seeing all my friends from 2005
^^^ paola: you have much sunshine, tomas.   thomas:  huh?   me:  paola, i think you mean sunburn.  tomas has a sunburn.  :]

* going to the zoo at Christmastime and looking at all the lights

* seeing JOSH TURNER live in concert!! WHOOHOO!!
^^^ olivia: he has such a cute stomp!!!

* picking apples with my grandparents

* "arctic edge... where adventures meet courage....courage....courage..." VBS 2006
^^^ when the kindergarteners mauled us, creating a massive dogpile, with me and mrs. amy - their beloved music teachers - at the BOTTOm of that pile.... talk about uncomfortable.  but cute... and quite funny....

* IYC summer youth camp!
^^^ things falling in the toilet and me "doing my laundry" outside at 11:30 at night!
^^^ "did you say you feel like being JUDAS today???"
^^^ alex... please tell me you don't have FINGERNAIL POLISH ON!!?!?!?!?!?  :)

* branson, missouri and our new "house"!
^^^ the brett family and the dixie stampede were *gasps* amazing! and the cabin we stayed in??? boy howdy!

* the hours upon hours upon hours we spent at church, setting up for events and tearing down after events and getting ready for vbs and the banquet
^^^ going to kinko's/fed ex with dad at almost midnight to pick placecards up for mama

* being ashley's "date" for soiree and getting to wear a fancy dress all night long...
^^^ josh:  jill..... you're ashley's... date?  is there something you need to tell us?  me:  JOSHUA! NO. GRR.  :)

* crazy dreams
^^^ evan is now my son
^^^ i am a vietnamese reindeer....
^^^ josh is a tatoo artist
^^^ siera killed thomas by popping her neck

* times with family
^^^ dad: look! it says mother!    me:  uh dad.... that is NOT what that says... put your glasses back on!
^^^ kay lynn:  this is gonna take me twice as long to vaccum.   dad: it won't if you plug it in....
^^^ me:  i think that sign says that juanita is pregnant.  wait....  dad: *laughs hysterically*
^^^ mama bringing home yet another Christmas tree

* seeing God answer our prayers
^^^ about grandad and too many other things to count

wow... there are so many great and fun things that happened in my life during 2006... but i think God has plenty in store for 2007 as well....

so here are a few of my new year's resolutions:

* truly Live for Christ - better than i did last year

* stick to the diet i'm supposed to be on (even if it means eating all of those bland, natural, healthy foods...) xp
 ^ oh - and take my fiber and herbs daily - without having to be told...

* have a consistent quiet time - daily.

* work harder in school and helping mom around the house

* get a job!

* STOP PROCRASTINATING (AYE! this one is gonna take a lot of work)

* actually write that children's book story that's been sitting in my brain for the past nine years...

* remember to stop and be truly thankful for what i have and not take so many things for granted

* be more determined.

i guess some of these aren't really "resolutions".... but they are what i want to improve on this year...

* have a more childlike faith
^ trust Him for ALL my needs
^ follow immediately w/out question
^ stop worrying so dadgum much

* be stronger - able to endure more
^ both in a physical sense and a spiritual sense

* have more patience, be more gentle

* BE QUICK TO LISTEN, SLOW TO SPEAK, AND SLOW TO GET ANGRY.  ((hmmm.... wonder where i've heard that one before...))

i'm looking forward to what God has in store for me and my family in 2007.... i'll be graduating high school - FINALLY.  and so that holds a whole  new challenge for me.  it's gonna be tough sometimes.... but.... i think i'm excited! ;)

Father, thank You for everything that happened in 2006.  the good times and the bad times.  You've taught me a lot this year, but please help me to learn more in 2007.  You've brought me through some rough spots, and i have no clue how anyone who doesn't know You even gets through one day without breaking apart.  i want to be a light this year - glowing brighter so the world can see You.  give me strength and courage to face the challenges ahead.  help me to keep my resolutions, and reach my goals.  may my will for my life be whatever it is You want me to be.  thank You for giving me Life.  Amen.

Yeah, that's the difficult part...

Yay, you've added resolutions!! But healthy, natural foods are not bland *hurt look* okay, tofu is bland, but like organic fruits and veggies have much more taste than what you find at a grocery store....

Oh, I should have put "stop procrastinating" on my list...my time management seriously needs work.

So you're a senior? I'm a year behind you then...get to graduate in 2008 with my brother.

It's wonderful how God has blessed you this past year - I'm sure He has more blessings to give you this year as well!!
